Samsung launched the One UI 9 beta back in May, but so far, only Galaxy S26 users have been able to try it out. There’s good news, though, the list of eligible phones is about to grow.
New test builds have surfaced for several older Galaxy phones, including the Galaxy S25, S24, and even a few Galaxy A models.
According to Gizchina (Monday, August 31, 2026), Samsung hasn’t officially announced the next beta phase yet. That said, there are now enough signs pointing to more smartphones joining the program soon.
Signs Point to a Wider Rollout
The Galaxy S26 series has already received seven versions of the One UI 9 beta. At the same time, beta builds have started appearing on Samsung’s test servers for more than a dozen other devices.
Samsung has also created dedicated beta sections in its Community forum for phones like the Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy Z Fold 7, and Galaxy Z Flip 7. This typically happens shortly before a beta program officially launches.
Phones Likely to Get One UI 9 Beta Soon
Here’s the list of Samsung phones likely to receive the One UI 9 Beta soon:
- Galaxy S25
- Galaxy S25+
- Galaxy S25 Ultra
- Galaxy S25 FE
- Galaxy S24
- Galaxy S24+
- Galaxy S24 Ultra
- Galaxy S23
- Galaxy S23+
- Galaxy S23 Ultra
- Galaxy Z Fold 7
- Galaxy Z Flip 7
- Galaxy A57
- Galaxy A56
- Galaxy A55
- Galaxy A54
- Galaxy A36
- Galaxy A35
One thing worth keeping in mind: this isn’t an official list from Samsung. It doesn’t necessarily mean every phone listed above will actually join the public beta program.
One more surprising detail: the sheer number of Galaxy A phones on this list. Samsung typically starts its beta rollout with the pricier Galaxy S and Z models before moving on to the A series.
What’s New in One UI 9
One UI 9 is based on Android 17 and brings several changes to Galaxy phones. Samsung has added more customization options, new security tools, and updates across several of its own apps. AI is also a major part of this release, though some of the more advanced features won’t be available on every Galaxy device.
The stable version has already rolled out to Samsung’s new Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8, while the Galaxy S26 series will be getting it soon as well.
For now, Samsung hasn’t announced when the wider beta rollout will officially begin. That said, with beta pages already appearing in the Community forum, Galaxy S25 owners and those with the latest Fold and Flip models likely won’t have to wait much longer.
